Privacy policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This website collects as little about you as it can. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising and loads nothing from other companies. It does use privacy-friendly analytics, run on our own platform, to see how the site is used. This policy explains what it handles, why, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Eventing Tech LLC, a California limited liability company (Secretary of State file number 202123910411), referred to here as "Eventing Tech", "we", "us" or "our".
Eventing Tech LLC, 3400 Cottage Way, Ste G2 #7454, Sacramento, CA 95825, United States. Email: inquire@eventingtech.com.
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, Eventing Tech LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
This policy covers this website and emails you send us about our services. If we work together, the agreement for that work may include its own data protection terms.
2. What we collect
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server automatically records each request it receives: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page (if your browser sends it), and your browser and device type (the "user agent"). We do not combine these logs with any other information to identify you.
Website analytics
We measure how people use this website so we can improve it. Our analytics run on yawrn.studio, the platform this website is published on, and the data goes only to our own server. They use no cookies, and they never store your IP address. When you visit, the analytics record:
- the pages you view (address and title), the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you followed;
- approximate location at country level, worked out from your IP address at the moment of your visit (the IP address itself is not kept);
- device type (phone, tablet or desktop), browser and operating system name, screen and window size and language setting;
- how you use the page: time on the page, how far you scroll, how long each section is on screen, and which links and buttons you click (the link address and the button's text, not where your pointer is);
- page performance measurements, such as how quickly the page loaded.
To count visits without tracking you, the analytics create a visitor code by scrambling your IP address and browser details together with a random value that changes every day and is never saved to disk. The code cannot be turned back into your IP address, and it cannot link your visits on different days. A random session code is also kept in your browser tab until you close it, so that pages viewed in the same visit are counted together.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, the analytics ask your permission first and send nothing unless you agree. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the analytics send nothing at all, wherever you are.
What you send us
The website has no forms. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include, such as your organisation, role, phone number and details of your event. Please do not send us sensitive information (for example, health information) that we have not asked for.
What stays on your device
The website saves a few small items in your browser: your light or dark display choice, that you have dismissed the cookie notice, your analytics choice if you were asked for one, and the session code described above. The first three are never sent to us. See Cookies and browser storage.
The demos on the home page
The live poll, badge printer and audience questions on the home page run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type or choose in them is sent to us or stored. Choosing a poll answer only adds it to the subject line of the email your own email app opens if you click "Hire us".
What we do not collect
We use no cookies, no advertising or tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, no social media widgets, no session recording and no fingerprinting. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not buy personal information about you from anyone.
3. How we use it
| Information | Why we use it | Legal basis (GDPR and UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs | To deliver the website, keep it secure, prevent abuse and fix errors. | Our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f)). |
| Website analytics | To understand which pages and sections are useful, where visitors come from, and whether the site works well, so we can improve it. | Your consent, if you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland (Article 6(1)(a)). Elsewhere, our legitimate interests in understanding and improving our website (Article 6(1)(f)). |
| Your emails and contact details | To reply to you, discuss and quote for your event, and deliver any services you hire us for. | Taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b)); our legitimate interests in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). |
| Records of our work together | To keep business, tax and accounting records. | Compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). |
| Any of the above, where necessary | To establish, exercise or defend legal claims, and to comply with lawful requests from authorities. | Legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) and our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). |
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not send marketing emails you have not asked for, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising. We only disclose it to:
- Service providers who process it for us under contract: yawrn.studio, the platform that publishes this website and runs its analytics; our website hosting provider; and our email hosting provider. They may only use it to provide their services to us.
- An AI service (Anthropic) when we ask for a written summary of our website statistics. It receives only combined figures, such as page view counts and the most clicked links, never IP addresses, visitor or session codes, or anything else that identifies you.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
- Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, or where needed to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A successor business if Eventing Tech is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to protect your information.
5. Where it is processed
Eventing Tech is based in the United States, and this website is hosted on servers in the United States. If you visit from outside the US or email us, your information is transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection law may differ from the law where you live. For visitors from the EU, EEA and UK, see section 9 for how we handle these transfers.
6. How long we keep it
- Server logs: deleted automatically after 14 days, unless we need a specific entry longer to investigate a security incident or abuse.
- Analytics: kept for 13 months, then deleted automatically. Our backups may hold deleted records for up to 7 more days. The daily value used to make visitor codes is held only in memory and discarded within two days.
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up you ask for, then deleted.
- Clients: correspondence and records are kept for the length of our work together and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require, or as long as needed to resolve any dispute.
- Items in your browser: see section 7.
7. Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use cookies. It sets no first-party or third-party cookies.
It does keep a few small items in your browser's local storage and session storage:
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
et-theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark display ("House lights"). Never sent to us. | Until you clear your browser's site data. |
et-cookie-notice | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. Never sent to us. | Until you clear your browser's site data. |
ys.consent.… | Remembers your answer if the analytics asked for your permission, so you are not asked again. Never sent to us. | Until you clear your browser's site data. |
__ys_s | The random session code that groups the pages you view in one visit, sent with analytics (see section 2). | Until you close the browser tab. |
The first three are needed for features you choose to use. Where the law requires it, including in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, the session code is only created and analytics only run after you agree.
Changing your mind. To withdraw your analytics consent, or to remove any of these items, clear this website's data in your browser settings. If you are in a region where we ask, you will be asked again on your next visit.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing inquire@eventingtech.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, usually by replying to the email address the information relates to. You can use an authorised agent to make a request for you where your local law allows it; we may ask for proof that they are authorised. We will reply within one month (GDPR and UK GDPR) or 45 days (US state laws), and will tell you if we need more time as the law allows.
Section 9 and section 10 set out the specific rights you have under EU, UK and US state law.
9. EU, EEA and UK visitors
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances;
- object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests;
- data portability, meaning a copy of data you gave us in a commonly used, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent to analytics at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it (see section 7 for how);
- complain to a data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU and EEA it is the authority in the country where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened (list of EU authorities). We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.
International transfers. When you email us from the EU, EEA or UK, we transfer your information to the United States because it is necessary to reply to you and to take the steps you have asked for before or under a contract with you. Where our service providers process EU, EEA or UK personal data in the US for us, we put in place the safeguards the GDPR and UK GDPR require, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (with the UK addendum), or rely on the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension where it has one. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.
10. US state privacy rights
Residents of California and other US states with consumer privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia) may have some or all of the following rights, depending on the state and on whether its law applies to us:
- the right to know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories, sources, purposes and recipients;
- the right to delete personal information we collected from you;
- the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of significant decisions. We do none of these, so there is nothing to opt out of;
- the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information;
- the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within the time your state's law requires. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can contact your state attorney general.
Nevada. We do not sell covered information as defined in Nevada law.
11. California notices
Notice at collection
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described in sections 2 and 3:
- Identifiers, such as IP address, name and email address;
- Internet or other electronic network activity, such as pages viewed, referring page, links clicked, time on page and browser type (server logs and website analytics);
- Geolocation data, limited to the country you are visiting from (not precise location);
- Professional or employment-related information you choose to include in an email, such as your organisation and role;
- Commercial information about services you ask us about or buy from us.
We disclose these categories for business purposes only to the service providers and other recipients listed in section 4. We have not sold or shared personal information, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, in the past 12 months, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16. We keep each category for the periods in section 6.
Shine the Light
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code section 1798.83).
12. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, our analytics send nothing from your visit, and our server discards any analytics request that carries a Global Privacy Control signal. We also treat Global Privacy Control as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information, which we do not do in any case. Our web server still keeps its ordinary logs (section 2), which every website needs to run.
13. Age requirement
This website and our services are for adults. You must be 18 or older to use this website or contact us about our services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Security
This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our server and records is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if the website changes or the law does. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if a change is significant we will make that clear on the website.
16. Contact us
